The Carbon Offroad Monkey Fist Kinetic Recovery Rope is a Nylon66(polyamide) double braided core and sheath rope with a specific gravity of 1.21. It is specifically treated with a special coating of the core fibre and sheath fibre which provides a 15% increase in abrasion resistance over similar ropes without the coating. With an average diameter of 24mm, and a breaking strain in excess of 12,000kg, our Carbon Offroad Kinetic Recovery Rope is a true winner when it comes to offroad recovery performance. With a weight of 378gm per metre, it is lightweight but incredibly strong. Nylon is a dynamic fibre, when braided into a rope like ours it offers a high degree of stretch, allowing you to conduct a very safe, progressive recovery without huge shock loading on the vehicle. The Carbon Offroad MegaPro Winch Hook is the latest product from the design team at Carbon Offroad. Completely designed, engineered, FEA tested and finished in house by our team, we put all of our collective knowledge and experience together to build a simple, functional and cost effective winch hook which was specifically designed for winching activities.  This is not a hook that is out of the parts bin from the local lifting and rigging supplier, this hook is completely 100% made from scratch by our local design team and overseas manufacturing facility. We did the design, 3d printed the prototypes, tested form, function, fit and usage, FEA process to make the hook as strong as it could be while removing material where it wasn't required.  The I-beam hook construction is unique to the MegaPro Hook. We cast the alloy gate to make it lightweight and durable. The hook is manufactured by a forging and heat treating process using 40cr Steel Alloy material. What results is an almost indestructible hook that will last a lifetime. We also then process the finish in a durable powdercoating process, similar to the process that your exterior aluminum windows in your house go through, this process is known for long term resistance to UV degradation and protection of the base material. The hook weighs approximately 1.1kg.  This hook can be stowed against the fairlead either flat on both side or on it's end, hook gate up, this gives you the ability to snap on a soft shackle or tree protector loop once handed and walk the rope out to the anchor point.  The mounting pin is a complete through pin design which is externally secured by a circlip making it simple and easy to mount to your winch rope.  We really tried hard here to make this hook to the highest standard at the best price possible so that you and you mates can access good gear for reasonable prices. We did this by committing to a proper design, development and manufacturing process that allows us to keep costs down and get product on the shelf in good quantities.  The hook is safe to use on any winch up to 20000lb.  The rubber pads on the hook are glued onto the hook. The Carbon Offroad MegaPro Tow hitch receiver recovery point is a premium multi fit recovery point allowing 5 different mounting orientations to suit all types of 50mm reciever hitches whether they be shallow or deep style.  The recovery point is manufactured from high grade 6061 T6 Aluminium and is carefully CNC machined to a beautiful finish. The recovery point is then anodised in a high grade Type 3 Hard Anodised finish which allows years of trouble free use. At only 1.2kg it is significantly lighter than other similar options on the market. The tow hitch mount recovery point also has a smooth edged radius cut into the shackle mount, allowing safe use with a synthetic rope soft shackle attachment. It is also designed to accept a 4.25T size Steel bow shackle as well. Either attachment method is available and safe with our recovery point.  Horizontal and vertical shackle point mounting options.  One of the great features of the Carbon Offroad tow hitch mounted recovery point is that it is versatile. You can use a soft shackle or steel bow shackle with it and you can also mount it with the mounting eye facing upwards or facing sideways. Some examples of how this can help you in setting up a recovery:  With the mounting eye facing up the shackle is free to move in the lateral plane, this means that if you are in a situation where the recovering vehicle is not able to get directly in front of the vehicle being recovered, the shackle is able to bend towards the angle of pull without strain or side loading on the hitch eye.  With the mounting eye facing out sideways, the shackle is free to move in the vertical plane, if the recovery vehicle is up hill or down hill from the vehicle being recovered, this then allows the shackle to line up with the angle of pull whether it be above or below the mounting point position.
